Questions for City Planner Meeting

Greetings Villages of Hidden Lake Neighbors,

The Board President will be attending a meeting with a City Planner on Wednesday at 1:00 PM to discuss matters related to the community.

A list of planned questions is included below for your review. If you have any additional questions or topics you would like addressed during this meeting, we encourage you to share your input.

Planned Questions (as time permits during the meeting)

Traffic & Parking

1. What traffic impacts does the City anticipate for Villages of Hidden Lake during construction? 2. Has a traffic study been conducted, and if so, what were the findings for neighborhoods immediately adjacent to the lake? 3. Are there plans for additional parking areas, and how will overflow parking be managed to prevent neighborhood streets or our private pool parking lot from becoming event parking? 4. If traffic or parking issues emerge after implementation, what mechanisms are available for residents to request adjustments?

Safety & Security

5. Has the City evaluated how increased visitation may affect public safety in adjacent neighborhoods? This includes but is not limited to trespassing, after-hours activity, litter, or vandalism or crime in neighborhoods bordering the lake? (mentioning the experience with PPD/TCSO and the invasion of our pool) 6. Are additional police patrols, park security measures, lighting, or emergency access improvements planned as part of the project? How will lighting affect the nearby homes?

Environmental & Quality of Life

7. What steps are being taken to preserve the natural character of the lake while adding new amenities? 8. Are there any anticipated impacts related to noise, lighting, or increased event activity that nearby residents should be aware of? Other neighborhoods have experienced construction as early as 6am. Will residents be taken into account for this? 9. How will the City address concerns if residents experience unintended negative impacts during and after the project is completed?

Construction & Implementation

10. What portions of the Master Plan are realistically expected to move forward in the next 3–5 years versus remaining long-term concepts? 11. What is the anticipated timeline for construction phases that could affect our neighborhood? Do you plan to use our parking lot for staging? 12. Will residents have opportunities to provide feedback before specific projects move from planning to construction?

Long-Term Vision

13. From the City's perspective, what does success look like for this project ten years from now? 14. What benefits do you believe our neighborhood will experience as a result of these improvements? 15. If you lived in Villages of Hidden Lake, what would you be most excited about and what would you be watching carefully as the project progresses?
